Rappin Through History and Ivrit for All

This weekend, we reviewed what we learned in our unit on the Ashkenazi Jews by playing "Jewpardy."  The students were given a chance to show what they know about the Ashkenazim, Yiddish, Hebrew and general Jewish vocabulary thus far.  The teams were quite animated, and everyone had fun!

The students have written a really fun rap song to show what they have learned about the history of  Ashkenazi Jews.  We planned to record it this week, however we decided to practice it a bit more before recording.  Your child will have a copy of the rap song, with his or her part highlighted.  Please have him or her practice the stanza(s) at home, so that we can record this weekend!
Rappin Ashkenazi style!

In Hebrew for Movement, the students continue to build their Hebrew vocabulary...ask your child where his or her "tusik" is!

We will be doing a project based upon a handout that went home this week about your family's roots.  Please be sure to fill it out, and have your child return it as soon as he or she can.
Shalom!
